    looking at importing a land rover defender 90 4c, 1987 commercial from the UK.
    How much will it cost?

    The commercial fee isn't €50 euro any more it's €200. Changed about 2 years ago.

    Depending on certain details about the vehicle it could go as category B at 13% VRT.

    Why that's a 90 not a defender (they came out in 1990 )and if its still original has the 19j engine.
    Not loved or rated very high by anyone who knows landrovers.
    Best of luck if you do get it though loads of stuff on the net about swaping that engine out for a 200tdi or a 300tdi.

    If your going to import something, go for a clean 200tdi/300tdi. VRT should be the same and there is going to be loads to choose from in the UK. Better engine; more powerful, reliable and refined. You'll even find ones that have been modified for off road use easier than looking here if that's your thing.
