2003 Nissan Navara and also a 2005 Mitsi Pajero Commercial.
Nissan seems to start when it feels like it and the Paj seems to take a bleeding age to fire up,allmost drains battery before it will start.
Went to an independent "tyre and mechanic" garage and they charged me a nice few quid for fcuk all problem solving with the Mitsubishi.
Considering taking the plunge now and taking it to Castlerock Motors in Balbrigggan who are a main Mitsi dealership.

I dont know as Im not a mechanic, thats why I left the jeep into a well known tyre and mechanic establishment,as they "told" me thet they could diagnose the problem and fix it.All they did was take jeep off me for 3 days and change a set of glo plugs and claimed that it was fixed.:(

There seems to be a hissing noise from the Pajero when shes cranking over on cold start, like its vacume related.Maybe air is getting in at the fuel pump or a perished fuel line?
The problem is much worse on a cold start, but the Pajero also struggles a bit to fire up a bit even on a warm start.
A new battery and new NGK glo plugs and still not fixed

Thats what those issues reek of to me mostly. Could also be temperature related ie faulty temp switch.

I can't help you with recommending a garage but I hope those are a starting point to diagnosing that

when was the last full service of this pajero? did you check fuel filter and what year model?

It was a clogged up fuel filter that was causing the poor starting.
The starter motor also failed the other day so it was towed to a different garage to be fixed. One new starter motor and a new fuel filter later and shes flyin again.Even on cold start she now starts on the 1st crank of the engine.

The mechanic thinks it could be a loose connection in ignition barrel or possible dodgey solenoid relay on the starter motor.Navara will start one time, then the next time it wont, needs to be rocked side to side to get it to start.Gonna get him to look at the Navara on Friday when I get paid.Hope its a cheap and easy fix.

Castlerock motors aren't a Mitsubishi dealership, they also aren't in balbriggian
I wouldn't recommend going near them they charge true the roof. Dodgy lads too.

You are correct on the 1st 2 points.
I just saw the large Mitsubishi sign over their building and thought they were an official dealership.I drive past them allmost every day on the way to Skerries and back.
But they arent listed on Mitsubishi Irelands website so they aint an official dealership..They are classed as being in Turvey Donabate, right beside Martin Finnegans motorbike shop Xtreme 45 (RIP Martin, sadly missed by us all).
I cant comment on your 3rd and last point,as Ive never dealt with them or bought anything from them, yet.Maybe you have dealt with them though?

They were up until a few years ago, fell out with Mitsubishi Ireland.
Yeah they aren't there anymore, banks selling that place, they are working out of an old yard in Lusk, back were they started from. Well a lad I know well was waiting a year on a tax book on a jeep he bought of them.
