calculating area?

    does any one know the name (or have the link to) a web site that you can use to calculate your land area?
    i used it in the past but cannot remember where i found it?

    any help would be appreciated

    ya can do it using google maps and autoCAD very easily too, if its not too awkward (i.e loads a irregular corners) I could do it for ya in a couple a mins... had to do it for the aul lad's sfp and reps...

    them websites are grand if your trying to get the area of one large block, different story if you want get the areas of multiple fields side by side... what i do is screenshot the map into AutoCAD, re scale it to the correct scale and then recreate the boundary lines of the fields you wish to measure the area of... in essence I'm basically re creating the Ordnance Survey maps for free in a couple of minutes. One would also be able to amend the maps if ya carried out work on the land (i.e erect a new fence, etc). to the OP, like I said previous, I could do this for your areas if you PM a googlemaps snapshot of your land. I'd be interested to see how accurate I could get it but would be confident of getting it to less than 0.1 of an acre.
