Getting this "Safari can't find server" error on multiple mac's none of them on the same network or location. It' s been happening for the last 3/4 day.
Websites work fine in Firefox and Chrome.
Only thing changed was broadband provider but I can't see how that would give errors exclusive to Safari?
    Any ideas?

I assume Mail, iTunes and the App Store aren’t working either. If so, this is a problem with your system network settings. Check the proxy settings in System Prefs > Network. Or if you are using a DNS/VPN workaround service, update your IP address with them.

Never use Firefox or Chrome to test that your internet connection is working correctly. They aren’t proper Mac apps and ignore OS X’s own system network settings. This creates a lot of confusion.

itunes and the App store are working fine.

    Under the network,
    Configure IPv4: Using DHCP
    IP: 192.xxx.x.xx
    Subnet: 255.255.xxx.x
    Router: 192.168.X.XXX
DNS Server : 192.168.X.XX (same as router)
Search Domanis: Ian:confused: Is that Lan?

    Under DNS
    Is the router address 192.168.X.XXX
Search Domains in the box beside DNS Servers is Ian
