We are still waiting for a place in our local school in the current junior infants class.
It is making life pretty hard and despite her being in an amazing school at the moment,I can't deal with the commute.
I am wondering is anyone else in the same situation?have any of you being waiting years for a place?
I have no idea what to do.

If you didn't get a place in September, I don't suppose you'll get a place unless somebody leaves the class. It's a pretty miserable situation alright. We're in a similar spot waiting for a place in 1st class / 2nd class Sept 2014. The other school isn't much further, but it's the logistics of having 4 kids in 4 different schools!

This bit worries me about Ruairi Quinn's proposals to remove enrollment policies. It makes economic sense for households to have their children in the same school as each other and creates far less stress on parents and their work (less likely to be late/tired from driving all morning)

The bigger problem is lack of places which just seems to be accepted by him, open enrolment isn't going make any more places in schools!

I think siblings will always be prioritised no matter what,I don't think that that will change.

    4 different schools,that is a nightmare!!

My 5 year old is the oldest of soon to be 4 kids so only one school and one play school for now.
