These are super reliable guns, i had one and put around 10,000 rounds through it before i serviced it, as for the upper i would leave that and consider swapping out the outer barrel if its the 3 piece assembly as they are not very strong

Ya i think i might get a new outer and rail system but what about the internals nothing need replacing?

First rule is "if it ain't broke, why fix it?"

However the simplest and best upgrade you can do is put in a tight bore barrel (you might as well put in a new hop up rubber too while you're at it). This will up your fps by 10% or more.

Don't think you'll need to replace the hop rubber as the G&G green is the standard go to for most people.
Also, as far as I am aware they come with 6.04 diameter barrel as standard so its pretty much a tightbore.
Be no harm to check it out with them anyways as they may have some suggestions for the model in particular

Do look at an r-hop if you want a nice cheap upgrade for some good range - little bit tricky to fit though (not speaking from experience but from reading on the web)

Think you're wrong about the barrel size as my Raiders fps jumped by 40fps by putting in a 6.03 barrel. You wouldn't get that much of an increase if you were just going from a 6.04 to a 6.03.

wouldn't be bothered changing the internals. change the motor for a SHS ho torque on if you're looking to do anything. As for the upper receiver you won't fit a Raider gearbox into a standard M4 receiver (if it's a blowback model anyways) stick with the G&G green as people mentioned. again if you're really looking to do work so you can say you did some modding get a Madbull nub, they come in packets of two along with red buckings but the nub is concave shaped so hugs the BB a bit better.

And lastly I'd stick to the standard barrel, it is a 6.04mm inner barrel. Like mentioned change the outer barrel as it's a ridiculous design. Other than that leave. Add rails if you want and change the stock and stuff but internally it'll run for a very long time. :). I'm airsofting 5 years now and bought mine about 2.5 years ago and had to open it once to reposition the trigger switch after about a year as it shifted but that's it and it's now my primary.

Just to mention if u do go and change for a tbb make sue u get a stainless steel one as the coating on the madbull black will strip off with the aegs.Hobby are now selling 363mm stainless steel from madbull think there around the 50-60 mark. The first thing i changed in mine was the barrel to a tbb and noticed a big difference from it.As for internal it depends on how u play i use single fire alot so i fitted a mosfet to help the trigger contacts and i upgraded the motor to a high torque.I put a tm one in mine as i read to many different views on the shs for running to hot and causing lots of problems.
