Good 7" 3G Android Tablet Which Makes Calls

After having bought the Nexus 7 (2013) 3G, the ASUS Fonepad and the Lenovo S5000 3G, I still can't find a tablet with a good screen which makes phone calls and has mobile broadband.

The Nexus and Lenovo have mobile broadband but no dialer. The Nexus 3G doesn't make calls in any country while Lenovo apparently only makes calls in some countries but not Ireland. The ASUS, bizarrely, only makes phone calls but doesn't have mobile broadband. I got it off Amazon from a European distributor so maybe that has something to do with it.

The Cube Talk 7, a €70 tablet from China, however manages to do both. But the screen is plastic and not really suited to my needs.

So can anyone recommend a tablet with a good screen, mobile broadband and can make phone calls in Ireland?

When you say "make phone calls" you mean real calls and not Skype?
You want to be able to use it to ring without 3g?

yep - regular 2g phone calls because Skype calls get dropped more easily. It would seem like extra effort to take out the feckin' dialer, however even the Vodafone SmartTab doesn't have one.

My best bet may be trying to get another Asus Fonepad as maybe the one I have is faulty.

I know it's an inch bigger than you want but it is a far better device than the tab 3.

I got the Huawei Mediapad X1 - very impressive for circa €400 including VAT and shipping. Only downside is the crap Android skin, although I'm sure a cyanogenmod version will be released soon.

I got a Samsung Mega 6.3 phablet, very happy with it. Any bigger and it would be a nuisance pocketing it.
