2008 Trek madone 5.2 Pro

Have been lookin for full carbon bike for a while and have recently been offered a madone 5.2 I believe it is d 2008 pro from d colour scheme (blue/black).Seller told me it's approx 2.5 years old and has done very little mileage has upgraded wheel set to navicular openpro but otherwise as per original. Looks wise it is in gud shape wit d odd stone chip here and there but nothing major. Price wise looking around 1000 euro mark what do ppl think go wit this or is there sum better 2nd hand / new options out there?

Surely a 2008 model would be 6 years old?

That's what I wud be thinkin to he told me he bought it 2.5 yrs ago and I believe him on dat. But when I searched for the colour scheme online d only one dat matches d colour scheme it seems to be the 2008 model. Thats why I'm thinkin a 6 yr old bike ain't worth 1000

Could have been gathering dust in a shop for a long time before he bought it?

Possible 2 that's why I'm wondering if it is d case is it worth 1000 ahead of other options 2nd that I'm looking at eg 2012 canyon ultimate

I have a 2010 model trek hybrid bought brand new from a trek dealer in June of 2013. Only has about 600km done on it. So it could be possible for bike in question to be both 2.5 years old and 6 years old depending on how you want to look at it.
