I am interested in buying a few well bred limo heifers to breed(purebred).I have looked at a good few in the last few months and to be honest there is a lot of average stuff out there.
I am based in southwest Munster and I was wondering have any of ye have bought purebreds in N.I?.The stock from the North looks the business on done deal, would it be worth the long trip for a look?

Why not buy in south some best breeders in country closer to where you live.

    Faraway hills.....
Spend a bit of time talking to breeders down south, do yer homework...the simple answer to this one is, you get what you pay for...here..the north..or anywhere else

Apparently there's more breeders in Clare, than the area in France where they originate from.

By the time you add on the cost of driving up and down all the way to the north, and then getting the stock home would that money not get you something more local and not have to deal with importing from the north?

I assume there is some hassle or cost involved with importing anyways?

I have been to Clare a few times following up ads on done deal but had no luck.I suppose the better option would be to ring the Irish lim society and get them to reccomend a few breeders and go from there.
