    Hi
I have a health care interview at liberties college in two weeks and I'm dreading it, does anyone know what kind of questions they are going to ask? Is there anything I need to do to prepare? I went for college interviews last year and I don't get in cos I was so nervous and I had no idea what to expect. Please help!

Their number one concern will be to find out will you be able for the course and are you motivated enough to finish it.

Thank you. Do u know what kind of things are they looking for to make me seem like I'm able for the course? Is it things like biology from secondary school or personal experiences, maybe general knowledge? Because I am clueless...

Oh and another thing, I left school in 2012 which is gonna be two years in June this year, does that mean I'm a mature student applying? If so do I still need to bring two references and my LC results?

You won't be the only person your age and there will be many older than you.

I don't know what their policy on references is. I'd say mostly they make up their mind just from the interview. It will do no harm to bring your LC results - better have them and not be asked for them than be asked for them and not have them.

Make sure you dress smartly - it doesn't have to be a business suit but make it look like you made an effort. If you feel yourself getting nervous, say it to them and explain why you are nervous and why you think it messed up your interviews last year. This won't be held against you. If anything it shows some self-awareness.

They are not trying to catch you out. Most of the interviews are done by teachers on the courses. They know the different pressures that can be on older learners or people who have been out of school a bit. They also know that some of the best candidates may not come across very well at interview.

Make sure you have thought about why you would like to enter the healthcare area and be ready to answer on it. Don't run yourself down.

Best of luck first of all.
1.Have an answer for WHY you want to do course.
2.Take a deep breath and answer each question clear.
    3.Dont underestimate yourself in anyway.
4.Look the person in the eye.
5.Have some research done on health care and where you see yourself in this profession.
6.Tell a story. Maybe you helprd an elderly neighvour/relative in the passed and realised you have something to offer.
7 . Maybe mention you are more determined to get this course. Say you were so disappointed the last time but you are mote READY now.
    8.fingers crossed

Thank you mylady, these are great points. I will use these and spurious's to prepare for my interview. I have another interview around the same time so I'll use the same points. Thank you for your great help. ðŸ˜႒
