Headin over with 3 other lads and was wondering if anyone could suggest a decent spot to stay in that's not to far from all the action? I take it montechero would be the best area to stay?

Cerro Mar apartments are right in the centre of the old town of Albufeira. Book directly with the owners on Holiday Lettings or Owners Direct. They're fairly new and much better than anything you'll get on a package holiday. You also have use of the facilities in the hotel across the road.

when are you going? 95% of places in the Montechoro Strip will be closed this time of year.

we stayed at the Brisa Sol Hotel which is about half way between the strip and the oldtown.

just a couple of places for you to check out
Ouratlantico is 5 minutes from strip, Oura Praia, CPO (Club Praia d'Oura), Santa Eulalia all within minutes of the strip but decent enough hotels.

Don't stay in Mar a Vista..it's on top of a hill that will exhaust you!

Ine of the lads had initially booked us in some place deep in the old town but he has since backed out, managed to book ouratlantico for 3 of us for only €531! Seems central to everything so happy enough!
