Finishing Jobbridge a month early to take a job in London

Ok as the thread says I'm taking a full-time job in London starting in a few weeks. I'm finishingg my Jobbridge this week - a few weeks early - but I need time before I move over to get everything sorted so no stupid questions about why I'm finishing early please !

I'm guessing I won't get paid from my new job until the end of March so I'm wondering:

    1. What happens when i finish the Jobbridge this week? Should I ask the company to put the last few weeks down as holidays so my payments keep going in? This is just to save me the hassle of having to go through probably signing on again and most likely missing payments for a week or so.

I've lived on next to nothing for the past 8 months and still can't afford to miss a week's pay.

    2. If I do have to sign on are theyre any benefits I can get to tide me over until I get paid for the first time?
I saw someone else on here mention about supplementary welfare allowance but not sure if this applies...

    Cheers
