    Going here in 2 weeks.

Anyone been here before? Is it expensive? Been reading other forums with alot of mixed views.

Is there much to do around the area? Ive never been away so have no idea what to expect

will be quiet this time of year which is either a negative or positive depending on your outlook.

its not expensive and there is plenty to do in and around that part of gran canaria. the sand-dunes at maspalomas are only a short walk and are a great place to catch the sunset. Palmitos Park http://www.palmitospark.es/?lang=en is a fun day out and beautifully set among the mountains (buses from town throughout the day)

the journey alone is worth it to Puerto de Mogán. the town itself has a really nice beach. line 32 serves that route http://www.globalsu.net/lineas/linea32.pdf

Would have to say it's probably my least favourite out of all holiday destinations
Saying that wouldn't mind being there at the moment

PDI is a dump beyond compare. Went back there recently after more than 20 years and couldn't believe how much it has declined. Aggressive beggars, run down shops, air of menace in the pubs and lots of welfare tourists and others whose ability to fund a holiday from Ireland was a curiosity.

went there 3 years ago as a 20yo male with two friends and thought it was an absolute dive

It's an absolute dump. I went in my early 20's and couldn't wait to go home. My 17 year old brother went with 10 mates on their first ever foreign holiday after his Leaving Cert and they all thought it was a complete ****hole.

If you have any possibility of getting a refund, you should. Agree with all the other posters.

Right im back and I can honestly see i CANT see where your opinions of it being a dump came from. I loved it. I had the best 9 days ever and am already planning on going back

Glad that you enjoyed it. Just curious as to what it was that appealed to you? Maybe it's changed since I was there as back then unless you were into sun, cheap drink, the pack mentality, greasy bland food and no culture whatsoever, you couldn't wait to get home!!!

We done loads of trips, went to palmitos park. We actually made friends with some of the staff in a few of the bars and they were really nice. The food was lovely in most places, the weather was great, the people were lovely
