It's been faaaar too long since I've posted on this forum but what better cause for a return to the fold than a forthcoming album from Wild Beasts?

Limbo, Panto was excellent; Two Dancers was excellent; Smother was excellent; and anything I've heard teasing Present Tense leads me to believe that it's also gonna be excellent. Admittedly, Wanderlust took a few spins to grow on me but the new track they've uploaded today is immediately gratifying.

Have a listen to 'Sweet Spot':

February 25th can't come soon enough.

Absolutely stunning album. It took me a good few listens to get into it this one.....I'm pretty sure it took me a while to get into Smother and Two Dancers also, but hard to remember.

The mix between Hayden and Toms vocals are much more subtle this time around. I also feel the instrumentation take a front row here compared to previous releases, for example a Dogs Life, the vocals are sparse, and the instrumentation is just fantastic.

Couldn't pick a favourite track at the moment. The only one which hasn't grabbed me yet would be Nature Boy.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how these songs translate live next month.

It is indeed a absolutely fantastic album. It's a bit more direct than previous albums but I think it works out spectacularly for them.

'Daughters' is one of the most beautifully sounding songs I've heard in quite a while. I like that they ended on a slightly higher sounding number like 'Palace', it gives a great rounded feeling to the record. The swapping of vocals is absolutely seamless and probably the best I've ever heard in a dual vocal band.

Like Gonzovision said, really looking forward to how the songs come across live soon.

It just gets better and better with every listen. They really have pulled an astounding album out of the bag.

Picked this up the other day and gave it a few spins so far.

Really liking it, gig should be great - they're a really enjoyable live act.

East India Youth for support should be excellent also.

Perhaps because wasn't familiar with their music it didn't blow me away .got better as it went on and the encores where good but to a neutral observer was fairly uninspiring.Missed support so no comment.

Huge fan but a bit disappointed by the album as a whole. A little bit too mellow for my liking, lacks another standout track for me, a little too melancholy and some tracks could quite easily have been on 'smother'. Saying that it'll still be one of the albums of 2014 I've little doubt.

Was my 4th time seeing them live at the Olympia and they never disappoint but I felt the sound was a bit lacking for the first half of the set, the mics were far too low as you couldn't hear Hayden's voice as well as you should have. Great mixed set and 'Wanderlust' sounded awesome as I'd hoped live.

A mad video altogether. I like it though.
