Hi, I was just hoping someone could help me out. I'm looking at buying a 2008 passat 1.9tdi Comfort line with about 160,000km. Not sure if I'm being done or not! Could someone tell me how much the going rate for a car like this that appears to be in good condition off a private seller would be? Thank you!!

About 7k depending it being serviced with belt done etc.

About 7-8k I'd say, depending on how the tax is calculated, some 2008 where the old engine size system, these would be cheaper, since the tax is more expensive.

According to my data here, your average mileage for that model is about 160,000km with an average asking price of €9500 in the private sector and €10,600 when you factor in the dealers (That data set is based off 125 cars) The selling price you can probably tag 5 to 15% off those. Entirely depends, as Nonoperational, on spec level and service history to determine the actual price. But I hope that puts you in the ball park.

7k seems a bit low tbh. I would have thought €9500 if its in good nick and doesn't need lots of work doing soon (not unlikely)

Maybe being a bit stingy with 7k alright. My KM to miles estimation was on a go slow!

Thank you all, I was thinking 7k would be too good of a deal. It is the cheap tax, just ncted and serviced
