If Temple Grandin is the cow whisperer, is there a sheep whisperer?

Very interesting piece on Pat Kenny this morning with Temple Grandin. Does she do any work with sheep, or is there a sheep whisperer?

    I'm sure there's plenty of them but I don't think it's legal

;) Keep that under your hat now or every one will want in on it.

I thought this mornings programme was a lot more interesting than the recent TV spot on her, as it also talked about her autism. Very, very interesting woman.

Only sheep shouters around here, I think the lad who did the sign language for Nelson Mandela's funeral gives courses in sheep whispering

I'd say same lad would give a course in anything you'd pay him for.

I am not into hairy fairy stuff. She is brilliant and really knows what she is talking about. Herding animals imo is a science. I am on my own 95% of the time here and you have to be spot on.
Yesterday evening I managed to get 39 dry hoggets into a field which had 20 yearling bullocks in. I stood in the gap to stop the cattle going out and the hoggets followed me in.
Some satisfaction! No dog or other human present.

Sheep Whisperers only need to know how to throw a fistful of nuts into a plastic bucket.
Really good ones manage with a handful of gravel.... :D

Ya i can move the sheep by just using the calls that i'd use with the dog. Come bye /away etc. Works well tbh bout they soon figure it out

I can get them to come to me so close they're touching me.

All I need is a bucket of nuts.

Babe is the Temple Grandin equivalent.
This is the secret phrase to whisper...
Baa-ram-ewe! Baa-ram-ewe! To your breed, your fleece, your clan be true! Sheep be true! Baa-ram-ewe!
