Switching from Dublin Bus 38/38a/38b to Bus Éireann 109

Hi everyone,

I'm working in Mulhuddart at the moment and commuting from the city centre by means of the 38a or one of the other 38's. I would like to get the 109 home to Meath on Friday evenings without having to go all the way into Busaras and then back out. I know that the 109 has a drop off point around Blanchardstown but I'm not too sure where. My question is does the 38 have a drop off point that is reasonably close to where the 109 stops and if so can someone please point it out to me. Thanks.

Your best 109 stop would be the stop at the slip road just past the Blanchardstown Centre.
Depending on where you are working in Mulhuddart you could walk to this.
If you are up in the Damastown estates you can get the 38/38a to the end of Castlecurragh Road/Warrentstown and walk to this stop at the slip road (5-10 min walk max).


Google map link but we wary that the roundabout and junctions are major changed in the last few months so it'll look different on the ground.
But you should be able to zoom out and get your bearings.

I'm in the IBM industrial estate, do you think I can walk it?

About 3km walk, 25/30 mins, may not be ideal.

I think the best option is to get the bus to drop me off in and around the area, i'll probably print off that google maps page and see if the driver can let me out at the nearest stop.

doesn't the 109 pass through clonee village which is just next to damastown (just cross the bridge)?
