Flatmate revenge

A friend just moved out of a house. Wasn't getting on with their flatmates. Lease ended and they all went their separate ways.

One of the lads left something behind and my friend took it for them so it wouldn't be dumped. Its a photo. No value whatsoever.

Thinking he was doing a favour the told the old flat mate that he could come collect it. Flat mate doesn't want to. Expects my friend to drop it off to him or post it.

As your man is being a prick my friend was just going to send it in the mail with no stamp. What happens then? He was also going to send it by just writing the address on the back of the photo (photo is embarrassing but holds sentimental value it seems)

Might cost the flat mate a few quid and a bit of embarrassment. What could go wrong?

It's the cost of a stamp. Either send it properly or throw it in the bin.

Whats the big deal? Can't he just post it and be done with the other guy if he feels so put out.

Send it through facebook should be fun for all his friends to see online

I'd just post it with a stamp. No need getting petty.

Had an issue with flatmates years ago. Girl moved out, tried to get away without giving any notice and cutting off any services billed in her name without giving us any opportunity to change over. Then she wouldn't give us a forwarding address for her post.

We just gave her back her deposit and let her on her way, happy to see the back of her. Years later she approached me through a third party saying she was "open to meeting up" with me. WTF???!!! Needless to say I passed on that.

Move on and be the better person. I guarantee karma will play out on this at some stage.

Tell him where he can collect it if he wants it, and give him a date that you will throw it out if he doesn't collect it. Done, no hassle. Why do people make mountains out of mole hills?

I think the level headed and reasonable thing to do would be to knock into the guys new place after a night out on the town and hit him in the face with a traffic cone with the picture attached to it, it'll be gas craic all round

Scan the photo and post it here so we can make a better informed decision

Dont rush any decision just yet, you need to engineer a good plan.

Doing someone youre not on great terms with a favour should not cost you money or be inconvinient.

"Expects my friend to drop it off to him or post it."

    'No stamp' idea sounds perfect.

It sounds petty but some people can take the p*ss. It was a nice thing for them to do but expecting them to go out if their way again is cheeky.

What I'd say: "Well, it's in my drawer, come collect it or don't. You know, whatever works for you".

Also, waht is it? pics or GTFO.
