Flash Drive Files

    Hi,

I am trying to transfer a clients portfolio of images from his Mac to my PC. I have tried two seperate 1tb flash drives - the file folder 'appears' to transfer to the flash drive on the Mac display, but when connected to a PC - it's not there...

I have hidden files/folders ON in windows explorer - tried two sepearte PCs also - Windows 7 and Vista.

The drive has other folders on it historically - they are still there just not the recently transferred folder of files.

I transfer files via devices daily so this is not new to me -

The drive is working fine - just refused to accept files from this Mac!

    Any ideas?!

Could be a formatting issue. If his drive is formatted for Mac (HFS) it might not show on a PC that reads FAT and NTFS.

Downloaded that app - thanks, but I cannot bring up a directory of drives so I can view the flash drive.

Any Mac users know of any free apps to compress the file size of images to make them handier to upload to Dropbox and the like?

What is "Preview" - ? I'm looking to reduce the file size for transfer...

It's the built in picture viewer for OSX. I'm pretty sure there are resize tools in it.

As Stuxnet says, format the drive using FAT. I think this is the only compatible format that allows read and write on both Windows and OSX.
