i just started a new job as a labourer. The company i work for does not do my taxs for me and they pay my wage directly into my bank account. however i dont think ill be charged tax as i wont be earning anything more than 10,000 a year. im single and living at home, and in my twentys. Do i need to do anything about my taxs? or can i just sit back and relax letting the money roll into my bank account?

Honestly - I would ring Revenue and ask them. Everyone else will tell you what they THINK will happen - only Revenue will be 100% accurate.

If you've just started, it's easy to fix - if you let it go, it could get messy..

IMO, they should not be treating you as Self-employed, but that's just MO.

How do you know they don't do your taxes for you? Do you have to issue them an invoice before you get paid?
