Well I tried but no response so a new thread.

I regularly receive emails in my main Yahoo email a/c which appear to come from my own a/c. I've never opened one but what is behind this? How is it done and why?

Just so that you understand exactly what I mean:

Say this is my email address: jd@yahoo.co.uk - I regularly get emails from this address to my email: jd@yahoo.co.uk . How and why?

    Thanks. :)

Its easy to put anything you like in the From line, its just laziness. It doesn't mean your account is 'hacked'. But you might like to make sure your password is of a good strength

Don't understand what you mean. Surely when you send an email you have no control over the "From" part? I mean the email will show where it has been sent from automatically?

Most well behaving mail clients will do this, yes. However, its not strictly necessary as part of the mail protocol so a spam sender can set it to whatever it would like, including the address it is sending the mail to.
