Just wondering do people actually trust the tube once it has been repaired after a puncture?

yes. I trust them about 6 times or until patches have to overlap. Then I throw them out.

Sure thing. I even trust my twice punctured tubs with just latex juice inside :)

Yes, don't see any reason not to unless they are overlapping or on seam.

Surely you mean to ask whether you trust your repair or not???

No, given the price of tubes I don't repair them at all.

I want to know that it will inflate and stay that way until the next puncture.

If you have the ability to determine the cause of a puncture at the side of the road, you have the ability to determine whether you can fix it or not. If not, then you don't have the assurance of a new tube that you think.

After that it's down to hand eye coordination with a scissors and rubber solution.

I'll repair once and if they puncture again they're binned. Tubes are cheap, 6 'Lifeline' tubes for €17 on wiggle or 5 Vittoria tubes for €22, not worth repairing a that price.

Yes. They're easy enough to repair. I normally bin them after six or so patches.

No reason not to 'trust' repaired tubes. If you do the job properly, you can inflate them to normal pressures with no issues. In fact, if you think about it, a well repaired tube might be more puncture resistant than an unpatched one, at least at the site of the original puncture.
What about people with tubulars? Anyone not repair these?
