Got my soil samples results back today.
Have a detailed one uploaded and a one that is typical of the whole place.
Its going to cost an awful lot over the next few years to build the phos and reseed along with expand.
What I'm angling at is, if I spread exactly what the P the ground required would I grow as much grass with lad with index 4 P?
My teagas advisor says since my lime us right and potash is acceptable I should grow grass.

Is anyone else in thus situation?
And how has the rest brought up there p quickly.

The P has actually dropped back in the last 3 yrs. A lot was was toucking 2

It definitely isn't as exact a science as this, you might and you might not ha! I can't remember how long it takes for the index to improve, I think it will be a year before you see the benefit from P? Then some paddocks will preform above what they should despite being deficient, while others will still just struggle despite being reseeded/index 3 or 4. Then other effects like the weather can make a much bigger effect shorter term anyways! Ok that answers nothing at all ha, other than its definitely worth bringing up the levels of P and K, but it will cost you shorterm, and you'll only see the benefit longterm.

I got ten samples tested ,the results were pretty much as expected.
you could see a pattern.A lot of low readings for P (less than index1)
Some very high readings for K .
I have a few Meadows on an outfarm. These get pig slurry regularly and when tested were index 4 plus.
Building P levels is a very slow process.

Some would argue you would grow more grass putting out required amount of P on index 2 ground than you would on index 4 ground and not allowed spread any due to some of the P in the index 4 ground being locked up and unavailable.
