Replacing Kitchen doors

Thinking of replacing the cupboard doors of our kitchen, it is 10 years old in MDF maple colour and all the covering is peeling off the doors. The panelling centre are doing a good offer on solid wood doors.

Just looking for anyone experience on doing this. Do the new doors make the rest of the kitchen look really old. Are we better off to keep saving and look at new kitchens in a couple of years.

Hard to say really without seeing the rest of your kitchen, but in my experience, new doors with old architrave can look quite odd, and can make the doors stand out like a sore thumb. Might be worth replacing that too, if you want it the doors to stand out a bit less. Having said that, it couldn't look any worse than old doors with peeling paint, could it... :)

Go for it, I replaced mine two years ago, nice natural timber doors and we painted the surrounds with Satin coat "old english white" and they still look fantastic today.
Best decision we made in a long time.:)

My wife said the same thing, just replace the doors.

Got the doors, she decided the end panel didn't match, bought new carcasses, tiles looked dated, wanted a stainless steel splash back.

Long story short the dishwasher was the only item in the kitchen to survive so plan on a total refit. Boss is happy with her kitchen

No doors and handles. And if u hav extra few pound maybe change toe boards cornice and pelmet. Wouldn't be that expensive and will look the bees knees. Make sure 2 get the soft closes hinges wen u get your new doors.
