Looking for a new car. Found a Skoda 2008 185,000KM on it. Full service history, 2 owners and NCT'ed.

I know the Garage I'm purchasing from (last car from there) and I use the Garage for regular service for both family cars. Never been ripped of.

Would hope to driver the car for the next 5 years.

Any opinions on the mileage or anything else.

New or old model? I'm guessing old?

the engine is the 2002 passat style engine

the car itself is from Aug 2008 so it qualifies for the carbon based car tax

1.9 TDi or 2.0 TDi, old model (similar looking to the old Passat) or new model?

1.9 TDi looks similar to an engine from a 2002 Passat.

So I think its the new old model and not the engine in the current Passats.

No the car, not the engine. Is it the shape that looks like a 2002 Passat externally or the new model?

the car model (appearance) is the old model.

    Sorry delay in replying

My mother has an 04 superb 1.9 which she bought in 05. Car has had a few niggles. Rear door locks, rear electric windows, front lights seals failed on both sides and the units had to be replaced which was steep, CV boots, bushes (ridiculously often) and a bal joint this year. Car now has 96K on the clock.

To be honest this is far from impressive but the engine has never missed a beat. The gearbox is smashing and the car is still on the original clutch. The inside and boot are massive. In the version the mother has it has climate ctrl, glovebox and under the armrest are fridges, cruise ctrl,...

p.s. she is heavy on tyres 12000-15000 miles on bridgestones on the front.

The mother is thinking of chaning in about a year or so and she said that she wouldnt go for one of these again as all the little faults added up to not being cheap. I will probably steer er towards a mondeo.
