Sometimes when I attempt to start my 08 Ford Mondeo, when I wait for the yellow coil light to go out and turn the key nothing happens. The engine doesn't start to turn over.
When I try to start the car again it seriously struggles to start. Loads of smoke comes out of the exhaust. Once it does start, after a few seconds the engine runs very rough, again for a few seconds. Once I start moving or rev it up a bit it all runs smoothly again.

Has anyone come across this problem? I haven't gone to the main dealer yet as it only happens about once a month or every two months.
