    Hey all.
I recently posted on the overclocking fourms and about my systems gpu only using 60%.It was suggested my problem could be bottle necking on my AMD FX-4170 over clocked to 4.6ghz.Im using a GA-78LMT-USB3 which has a AM3+ socket.

So my question what would be the best chip to get for gaming ?
Ill have a budget of about €200

    A 6300 would do for gaming.98 Euro

    Or an 8320. Think 130.

    8350 170.

Or Intel I5 4570 155 and a New mobo say 80. Total 230. Sell AMD CPU and mobo recoup money.

Obviously 6300 is ideal. Others are just giving you more options.

As of now 8320 108 pounds on amazon so 130 Euro delivered , with Amazon customer care.

    Or 8350 164.

Basically go with either or , but definitely on Amazon

Ok,so if I went with the 8320 ,do you think the cheap board would bottleneck the chip? and if so what would be a suitable board from the remainder of my budget ?

Got kudos for arma and bf, lost it all then with cod. Get out of here and don't come back :D.

If you testing arma on your rig don't be phased by its usage of CPU and Gpu. There is a reason it is never used in benchmark tests.

Hey ,you got to try everything once.
I stay away from using arma to test.I use furmark and task manager.

Anyway Iv decided to go with the 8350 so Ill see how it gets on in the board and if i think its holding it back ill swop it out.

Boards looks good enough. Sure you will have money left in your budget to get a new board. Not to mention selling old ones.

Maybe even stick old CPU and mobo on adverts see if any interest.

Anyways best o luck. And maybe see you on the killing field in arma

Quick suggestion, I read before that some AM3+ boards need a firmware update before they will support the 8-core FX chips. So you should check if you're on a supported firmware, and update if not, before you try installing the new chip.

Ya,I was reading that alright about the board being 95w but supports 125w chips.Thats why I was asking should I change out the board. But If I was chaning the board I might as well change to an i5.Euch.Its all getting very confusing.

Have you ever used an FX 8350 for gaming or anything remotely productivity based like maybe editing or rendering maybe?
