    Hi all

I am thinking if getting rid of sky and looking around Humex seem to be the best. Do they have saorview and freesat recording? All the info is uk based and doesn't seem to mention Saorview.

    Any help appreciated.

There is no Humax Freesat/Saorview combi receiver, with or without recorder. There are no combi Freesat/Saorview receivers from any manufacturer.
There are combi Saorview/FTA satellite receivers but no 7 day guide for the sat channels and no built-in HDD/series linking etc.

Thank you for that. What would you recommend as 2 seperate units for recording with 7 day epg, series link etc. I don't have an endless budget but would like something easy to use

Freesat+ receiver for the UK channels, existing Sky dish is OK. Twin-tuner recording (2 feeds from the dish required), series linking, 7 day guide etc.
    Channels - http://www.freesat.co.uk/channels
    Receivers - http://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat/recommended/freesat-plus-with-freetime

Humax receivers are highly recommended but expensive, Manhattan are also well recommended and cheaper.

Saorview for the Irish channels, aerial required. Twin-tuner recording, series linking, 7 day guide etc. (recording can be unreliable)

    Saorview+ PVR - http://www.walker.ie/products/WP6500TTR-HD.html

This is the only Saorview PVR on the market, it has reported problems with series link recording.

Though the series link issues might be partly Broadcaster issues. Certainly they don't seem to update start/end times to match reality.
