Hi there, can someone please scan or photo the pages from the data book for the timing belt on a 08 Golf Gti please. PM if you dont wish to post them directly here.

If anyone has done the belt with out having the 'special' tools I'd be interested to hear from ye.

    Thanks

OP, do you mean the Autodata guide?

I'm going to assume here that you're looking for a technical guide on replacing the TB on a Mark V Golf GTi.

The following may be of some use to you in the event that you can't get your hands on the Autodata:

    and also:

    Hope this helps.

Sorry, years of working in a truck/4x4 garage has diesel data book lodged in my head.

EDIT: thanks, that's just what I needed. Wasn't sure if I needed cam or crank locking tools

Doing the timing belt on any TDI is a bad idea without the lockdown kit - the margin of error is too tight to risk it.

I've edited my op to read Autodata not diesel data. Sorry for any confusion
