Who to ask about proper entitlements

    Can anyone tell me where I go or who I call about entitlements , I know the social welfare itself won't tell me if were not claiming for something were entitled to , partner on js Ben I'm recently awarded js allowance we've 2 kids in school a mortgage etc , he gets 196 a week I get 177 a week a bit strange as I've worked for years and have stamps but again I'm clueless in all this , can anyone advise is this right ? Advice much appreciated

    You are on the correct amount of Job seekers family rate.
    If you are on Job seekers Allowance it is because , although you may have stamps going back, you don't have them in the required tax years. Possibly cos you were having the kids.
    You could continue to get that money as your husbands dependent if you want to sign off yourself.
    SW don't take outgoings like your mortgage into account.
    If you are struggling to pay bills you need to contact MABS.
    Did you apply for a medical Card?
    If the kids are school going , look out for the Back to School Clothing Footwear Allowance in June.
