Does anybody else have a hairy bum between the cheeks? If you get a brazilian wax will they wax that area? Anybody know a laser clinic i Dublin that does this sensitive area?!? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

A specialist waxing salon does this area, so yes, plenty of women have hair there. You can ask what areas they wax when you book, or when you meet with the therapist and you can ask specifically that this area be included in the waxing.

I cant advise you on Laser though, sorry.

    It's the Hollywood waxing you're after isn't?

AFAIK all women have hair there.

It's sad that the current trend for waxing means that women don't know if their level of hairyness is normal or not.

Depends entirely on the person. I have no hair there (and very little body hair anyway) but my friends and sisters all have it.

Op, it's normal. If you don't like it, a Hollywood wax will remove it, along with all other hair around your nether regions.

Yes, OP, this is normal. I get a Brazilian or Hollywood every 4-6 weeks and they include this area.

Make sure your therapist uses hot wax.

Dare I ask how that came up in conversation?

"Ah Mary, tell me something, do you have a hairy arse?"

My sisters and friends have asked me about waxing before, as I'm the only one out of us who gets waxed. Four of them asked do they remove the hair in that area.

Like I said, it's normal to have it. Some people do, some people don't, but getting a Hollywood wax will ensure it's removed.

Edit: Mods, I hope it's okay that I replied to this post. I removed the 'offending' part from my quote. Just trying to explain to the op that it's normal, and that yes, plenty o women have it and even talk about it!

I can talk about this type of stuff with my friends with complete ease, and frequently do! :o and with my mother. I'm sure if I had sisters I'd talk about it too.

Suffice to say OP, it's completely normal!

Just thought I'd post here because I had my first ever bikini wax last week. I got the Hollywood and they removed everything. My beautician used a wax called Lycon, it's a new type of wax. They put oil on you first, to protect the skin, then the wax. When the wax pulls off it will only pull the hair and not the skin. It was actually pretty painless..

If you're looking to get waxed try and find somewhere that uses that because it'll be a lot better for you.

I am getting Lycon waxes done for years from Brazilia on south William street, about 7 years to be precise, it isn't that new...but I will say as someone who gets sensitive skin and a horrible shaving rash so cannot shave, it's brilliant.

Guy here, really don't understand this current trend of shaving everything. Call me crazy but I think a little hair down there is sexy, even in your bum.

They will wax it off if you ask, but don't be ashamed of something that is natural

I am overly excessively hairy in that area. I use aloe vera hair removal cream before I hop into the shower and that does the trick also saves a lot of money.

You must like manly women. If it was considered attractive/acceptable why do you think so many women shave/wax/depilation their hair?

Women with body hair are not manly.

OP - hope you go the answer you need. If you need this reopened please contact the mods.

cat_dog - PI/RI is not a discussion forum, we have little tolerance for off topic posts. While your opinion is welcome you failed to offer the OP any constructive advice and instead as you can see the next response continued the discussion you started. Please for your own benefit in this forum read our charter before you post again.

    Thanks
