    What is the best course to do degree wise before you can apply for the new York bar exam

    Any full law degree and then the Barbri course to have the best chance I'd say. Just make sure the degree you're looking at meets all the requirements for the NY bar. You'll just have to do a quick cross-reference on the websites.

    A US one ideally Ivy league. Research whether any Irish qualification will net you a job in the US.

    You do know pretty much all legal practice is a large amount of reading, text books and case law.
