Just wondering is anybody using a Quadlock or similar phone mounts?

Thinking of getting one but with no case being available for the Note 2 I'm not too sure about it.
The thinking is it would save on buying a Garmin or the likes when phones can do the same job with simple apps...

I'm using a Topeak Ridecase for my iPhone. It attaches to the stem top cap, so it's very solid. The mount has a hinge, so you can even use your phone as a video camera for your ride. If you're using a different phone you can attach a generic Topeak Drybag to the same mount. I'm not sure a Samsung Note will fit, but that's more of a tablet than a phone in any case. ;)

At the end of the day a phone will only do so much. Once you add a speed/cadence sensor & a heart rate strap to the cost of your mount you're not far off the cost of a Garmin 500 which has a 10 hour battery. A phone will only last 1/2 of that with the screen, GPS and bluetooth on the go.
