Leaking Windows & DPC

    Hi,

    I have 2 windows that are leaking and rang the company who installed the windows and met with one of there guys...

    Basically the Patio door is leaking over head and so also is a window at the front of the house.. The window guy showed me that the DPC was never finished off correctly around any of the windows i.e not cut properly(still flapping) and no sand & cement between it and cavity wall or sealant over it...

    I explained to the window guy that the leaks weren't coming in side of window but from overhead.. There are Granite heads over all the windows and he claims that the water probably getting in between it and the stone work and seeping down as the heads are leaking white chalky substance over the patio door...

    Basically he told me to go back to whoever did the stone work on the house as they didn't finish it off properly and that it not his companies fault.. The guys who built the house have since gone AWOL and uncontactable and I really don't know what to do...Does explanation the window guy gave me sound right and if so what do I do or need to do to rectify the problem....

    So what's your plan now?? are you planning to replace the window?? or looking to repair that one??

    The window guy said its not a problem with the windows they fine the problem is the DPC wasn't finished off properly with Sealant & then sand and stone..

    So I think I need to just try and fix the problem but don't know who i'd get to fix???

    nor am I sure how to fix the leaking granite heads over the patio doors...
