Seen as the last photowalk was a bit of a washout does anybody fancy going out sometime next week perhaps?

Showers expected tomorrow, but i doubt it'll be too bad. Everyone still in? Any ideas on locations?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,463 ✭✭✭Leftyflip

Still in, as for location and route I don't mind much at all!
The docklands down around the Bord Gais Energy Theatre is nice, but the rent-a-cops are a pain in the ass!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 119 ✭✭hutman

    Me too

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 320 ✭✭eoinín

I'd love to come along (and ask lots of beginner type questions...)

When / where are people meeting? Really looking forward to this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,639 ✭✭✭✭OldGoat

    Yep, still heading in.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

Good stuff, yeah im up for meeting at the Bord Gais theare are the security around there a pain in the arse?

Any ideas on a route to walk after that?

Also what time would suit? Im easy.

The rent-a-cops when they show up can be pretty annoying! But they only care about the ground by the theatre itself!
After that I've no idea to be honest!
As for time I'm not fussed at all! I'd reckon around 7 would probably suit people pretty well though.

Still hoping to make it in - have a meeting until 6pm - so hoping it doesn't run over. Will check back here to suss out the route ye are planning and try join ye along the way somewhere!

It'll be 8 before I can get in. I'll just wander the river bank and the theatre area till I find ye.

I hope to be at the plaza in front of the Bord Gais Theatre at 7. Is anyone else going to be there at that time?

Looks like a great turnout! I am going to try to change my plans and make this. What's the weather forecast like?

According to met.ie, chilly, but dry! So it should be a good night!
Although they're saying it could get down around 0 degrees! I'm throwing on some extra layers!

I definitely want to get in on one of these soon! Do you guys find you're learning new techniques/ways to compose or is it more just about being out with other photographers? Either is great!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,836 ✭✭✭Sir Gallagher

Sorta forgot to post any pix here - I was not totally happy with too many of my pix, but this one seemed to get a lot of likes on my facebook anyway!

    3DQxCVj.jpg

Would like to do another one of these if anyone is on for it - we have a bit more light so we can prob catch the blue hour. Maybe we can get a bit more organised and I'd love some pointers from the more experienced guys on here also :)
