Playlist Software

    Hi all,

Not really sure if this is the right section for this but probably as good as any.

Can anyone recommend some free software for managing playlist playback? Basically ensuring there is gapless playback, maybe even auto mixing slightly and ensuring that the volume is consistent across all songs?

I'm hoping there is something that I can just throw a load of mp3s at and after some initial setup it can handle the rest! Maybe wishful thinking...
    Thanks in advance!

itunes - you can turn on volume check and crossfade options and set the duration of the fade.

Thanks for the reply. I was kinda hoping for something a bit better than iTunes. Is iTunes actually able to keep a consistent volume across all songs for playing on a proper sound system?

As constant as anything else out there (including pro software like Traktor) ... its free and it works well, what else do you need from it?

I haven't used iTunes in a while, had a look there and it will do perfectly. Never realised it had that volume (Sound Check) option. It's great! Thanks a lot for the replies, much appreciated.
