Am thinking of doing this, the esb bill is suffering with three teenagers in the house

Good/bad idea, also any idea of cost

    Thanks

I would suggest you carry out an energy survey to determine where your using all the electricity. I would suspect that your real problem is not with the Shower.
However if you have a Daughter like mine who used to stay so long in the Shower that the Paint in the Bathroom used to blister then I can understand high Bills.

A Power Shower will only make sense if you have a supply of Hot Water which is available and under utilised. That's maybe being heated by a Stove or Oil or Gas. while also heating Rads. The problem is none of these sources of energy are free either. It's just less noticeable as you're heating the whole house.
I'm sure you won't get a power shower supplied and fitted for less than 1000 Euro.
Remember also in a few years the Teenagers will most likely be gone from home.

Thanks for the replies, we have a triton T90i at the moment

I just have a mini meltdown when the electricty bill comes in - suppose its not really worth changing it will just have to think about other ways to save, have already changed the lightbulbs - will have to enforce the TV not being left on standby rule a bit more though

As you say my teenagers wont be here for ever - well I hope not anyway
