Challenge 126: Your favourite inanimate object

I though it would be fun not to stick to a particular style of photography.
Instead this challenge is wide open, as long as the subject is your favourite inanimate object (you can have more than one)
The photo can solely be of the object, or maybe if you prefer you can capture it in a unique and challenging way. It's up to you.

    The rules:
    • Only photos taken with this task in mind qualify, therefore, photos must be taken after 9:00pm on February the 9th. No old photos to be submitted.
    • Photos must be posted within 2 weeks of the day the task was set. The closing time/date for this challenge is 9:00pm on February the 23rd.
    • One photo per post, but submit as many posts as you like.
    • The next task/subject will be chosen by the person who has the most thanks after their post at the closing date.

    Have fun everyone :)

    p.s.
My partner and I are expecting a baby in the next couple of weeks. As the due date is close to the challenge closing time I may have to ask another member to wrap things up for me. If I need help I will ask closer to the time.

Oooh another old school Zuiko OM user. I use these lenses the whole time but rarely see other people with them.

This is one of my favourite items. It's my dad's old Olympus OM-1n camera.
A lovely fully mechanical film camera. No batteries needed apart from the very basic light-meter. This is the first camera I used and I learned a lot from this little guy.
Attached to the camera is my favourite travel lens, a 40mm f2.

Challenge 126: Your favourite inanimate object is now closed.
A big thank you to everyone who voted and/or entered.

In first place is Whammy! (myself) with a 35 year old SLR.

In second place is Sheeps with an cherished family upright piano.

And in third place is Formosa with a cheeky little monkey

Lovely photos all round the challenge and it was interesting to see what people hold close to them.

In the interest of variety I would like to ask if Sheeps would be kind enough to choose the next challenge as I hosted this one.

Thanks Whammy for a 'challenge' ing subject -which produced a fantastic range of photos and a really well- deserved winner.

Looking forward to the next challenge already:)
