Marlfield lake

Someone visting clonmel wants to know how to get to Marlfield lake. They will be going from Clonmel side. Map shows Marlfield but they cannot find lake on map?

Can someone give directions from village please?

They got that image but how to get to there from the village
Can you tell me like abbey road/marlfield road etc then what turn. This is for someone a bit older not very good with google maps etc

from Irishtown upper it would be take the R678 continue on to Abbey Road from there keep to the left the left onto Marlfield Road when you get into the village at the bottom of the hill take the second right.
see the map marked if you look at the map in satellite view they should be able to see the lake.

Is that theone saying no through road?

but you can go all the way in if i remember, theres a road sign there too with ducks crossing on it.

No, Its one way you have to take the first left and go all the way round. I made this mistake recently, road at the start of the lake is very narrow I was entering and didnt see the 1 way sign, car coming against me which I flashed as i thought they were on wrong side. When I pulled up at the lake an older gent says to me "you know its one way" oops. Anyway take the first right on entering the village.

BTW i once heard someone claim they saw a UFO hovering over the lake. i do not believe that but just wondered if anyone else had claimed it. would be 3 - 4 years ago.

Another option to get to Marlfield lake is

From Irishtown upper it would be take the R678 continue on to Abbey Road out the Cahir road to just beyond the Poppyfield and take the left just before the railway bridge.

This will take you down towards Patricks Well.

Follow this road for 0.8km through the cross roads and then take the left turn arriving at destination on left.
