    Hi there,
If anyone successfully bought their bridesmaid dresses online could you offer up the site you purchased from please. We don't mind having to alter length and taking in etc but are afraid of getting a botch job.
    Any help appreciated.
    Thanks

Haven't got them yet but I'm looking at buying from JJs House..

They have a pretty fail-safe looking sizing guide.. Most of the reviews I've read online seem to be positive..

I've ordered a swatch of the fabric that I want.. if it's the exact shade I'm after I think I'm going to go ahead with the order.

I'm new to this myself.. Best of luck :)

I bought from RK Bridal. They have the genuine dresses though not copies so not as cheap as the likes of JJs House.

I bought two from Dresselicious through Ebay, they are based in Waterford I think, still take 6-8wks to arrive but they are fab, look well made, sizes are on neat side but I was warned this by them, I got 16-18 and its fits me bit snug around the chest and Im a 14. Mine were good price 2 think I was 65e each including postage. Only thing possibly need doing is length taking up

I would second the recommendation for Dresselicious. They are based in Ireland so at least you have some recourse if something goes wrong, unlike most of the Chinese websites.

I used lightinthebox.com and dresses are fantastic. I was bridesmaid for a friends a few years back & she bought from there too & again perfect dresses.
Can sort of recommend JJ house as another friend bought her bridesmaid dresses from there.

I also used lightinthebox.com. excellent communication and stunning dresses. I honestly couldn't believe the quality for the price that I paid.

I've been looking into the replica dress makers and i found the weddingbee boards to be a brilliant resource. Just search for the name of the site you plan to buy off and you will get plenty of info.

Additionally the brides on there have a lot of experience with the different replica makers and can advise on who is best for the type of dress you want, eg, lace or lots of beading.

Jasmines seems to be the most popular but it can take a good while to get your dress.

I have ordered a dress from inwedding.com, its just a short bridesmaid dress that i could wear to a wedding here. I wanted to see what the quality is like. I hope to have it by the end of the month.

thank you very much! that is a great help, will get on to that and see what the result is!
    Hope your dress is okay!

Yeah Inwedding don't have great reviews on the weddingbee boards but i had bought the dress before i found them. If it's not good i'll chalk it down to market research!

Would you mind sharing what site you were looking at?

I just see my dress on that site inwedding.com! let us know how you get on with your dress from there?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4 ash99

    I was looking at a few www.onlyforbrides.com
www.diydresses.co.uk this one I believe now is a scam so think stay away from it altogether
also looked at www.voguepromdresses.com have good reviews but hard to know if there genuine.
Its a risk you need to take I suppose.

I'm not sure about replication brand dresses. Just because I don't really know wedding labels. Or designers in general. But having used lightinthebox for my own wedding and my best friends wedding I can very highly recommend them. There will be small alterations to be done, but nothing major.

I received my dress today from inwedding.com and I'm pleasantly surprised. It is very well made and comparable to any i tried on in bridal shops. For example any i tried on in bridal shops were quite structured on the top half with boning or something similar so a bra isn't needed. This is the same as those. There isn't one loose thread which im amazed by.

I got it made to my measurements and it fits perfectly. i had looked at their size guidelines and i didn't come anywhere near those so i am delighted with the sizing. I could probably get some small alterations done as the dress has been made for my measurements but not to fit my body if that makes sense? But i could easily wear the dress tomorrow with no alterations needed.

The dress i ordered was this one in peach fizz. THe one thing i was surprised by was from the photo i thought it would be a draped dress when actually as i mentioned above it is a structured dress with chiffon draped over it. I probably shouldn't have been surprised as every actual bridesmaid dress i tried on was like this.

It needs a good iron as it comes in a small package. And i had to pay customs:(
