Submersible Pumps

    Hi all,

I bought a Leader Verty Go 300 submersible pump online from a company in the UK.

However, what arrived was a DAB Verty Nova 200 pump, which is similar in design and specifications, but not what was ordered, or indeed, invoiced.

Is anybody familiar with these pumps...or indeed with both brands? I'm wondering if what I've received is a cheap knock-off of what I thought I bought.

If the DAB pump is a reliable unit, I've no problem in keeping and using it but if the Leader pump is a superior quality pump, then as the song goes..."there may be trouble ahead...."

    E.

Only 6 years since I started this thread....pump has worked perfectly since but now the float switch won't turn off (it turns on ok).
Anybody know how to remove the cover without breaking it?

I've tried wedging it off with a screwdriver but it won't release from the main body of the pump and I don't want to break it by using too much force...

Ok....cancel that..there are three marks on the body beside a plastic switch tab...A (Automatic), M(Manual) and O(yeah...for OPEN). Push the tab to O and the cover comes off, allowing cleaning of the float chamber (which was full of gunk). All sorted now.
