    Hey everybody,

My fiance and I are currently looking at wedding venues around the midlands and were wondering if anyone has attended a wedding at the Annebrook house hotel in Mullingar. We were at their wedding showcase recently and liked the venue but we don't know anyone that has had their wedding or attended a wedding there so just hoping we might be able to get some helpful feedback from people re food, service etc before we make a final decision. Thanks :)

One of my family members had there wedding reception at the Annebrook House Hotel.
There were offered a good choice of menus and had a tasting session also.
On the day of the wedding the meals were served quickly and the staff came out with more food also for anyone who wanted it.
The staff were nice to all of the guests including the children there also.

The couple that got married both have professional jobs and there friends would be the same. There guests had nothing but praise for the meal, the staff and the hotel.

Hi, we went to a wedding there over the christmas/new years period and found the staff very helpful and courteous.

The food was top notch, the waiting staff pleasant, the rooms were just right (nice comfy bed) and the brekkie was :D:D

All in all, a very nice hotel and one that we'd recommend even if its for a short break.

I attended a close friend's reception there about 3 years ago. The reception and meal were excellent. Very high standard of food (sea bass and lamb IIRC). We stayed two nights as we were part of the smaller follow-on celebration the next day. The hotel was comfortable to stay in and we had a great dinner on the second night in their cellar restaurant. From a guest perspective, I really enjoyed it. And my friends (the couple) seemed pleased with the service they received too.

I've provisionally booked here for next year! Fell in love with it straight away and other venues just don't compare with it. From all the research I've done and from reports of others that have been there, it seems like it really can't be faulted.

I attended a wedding in annebrook 2 years ago.
I was very disappointed with the food and service, but that may have had more to do with the bride and grooms decisions than the hotel.

Really! Myself and himself just showed up the Sunday after the wedding fair and just asked if there was any chance we could be given a viewing. Anyway we just got carvery after that, complimentary, I might add, and even that was delicious. That's the first bad review I've heard, although it was 2 years ago, so maybe new caterers by now..

    The wedding was July 2013.
We waited ages for meal. Hunger is a good sauce!
As I said above, that may have been the bride and grooms fault and not the hotels.
    Stayed in the apartments-good.
    Civil ceremony-didn't like the room.
Good smoking area but no real grounds.

Great, just what I wanted to hear! Gonna ring them tomorrow and confirm my booking :-) we were dealing with the manager, Michael, and have to say it's partly because of him we liked it so much. Can I ask if you negotiated or got stuff thrown in, the package we are going for is excellent value so not sure if there is room for negotiations :-)

Michael is spot on and very professional, has the staff and place running like clockwork on the night. Adele is an excellent wedding co-ordinator, martha in charge of catering and bertie the owner is friendly and very hands on.

Ye the package includes so much and they don't hit you for anything extra and ample food and buffet etc. You could try for extra rooms and that, different flowers, centrepieces, extra bits, for top table but I found we got more of that stuff as we progressed whether it with accom manager or food manager etc:

Other small extras we paid for included babysitting (through hotel), clown for kids (amazing), flowers for parents, bridal room a second night etc. but youll get more into this as you move on.
Id love to be getting married there again loved the whole experience

Entertainment for kids was my first question on my list for them, so thanks for answering that :-) we have bridal suite, 3 rooms and 2 apartments included in the package, everything is included really!

We had a corner sectioned of in the room has comfy sofas and all worked great for kids, and made up goody bags with sweets and colouring etc:
We booked a clown through the hotel (she does be there every Sunday), she was amazing and the balloons she made were amazing. Can also book babysitters through the hotel which i'd recommened:D good luck no doubt you'll love it
