Cost-effective front porch

With all of the wind and rain recently, we have been having trouble with our front door letting in water and the breeze coming in. I've tried sorting the problems out with draught sealers, but the door is very exposed and whatever I do the problems remain. So now we're thinking about putting in a porch, not only to protect the door, but to give an added barrier between us and the outside, as the house is open plan and the front door opens almost directly into our living area.

We were thinking about a framed glass porch, i.e. no solid walls or roof, and something fairly simple and durable. It would only need to be 2-sided as a side wall projects out fairly close to the front door.

We can't spend too much, but I would be well capable of installing something myself. Does anyone know what options there might be in terms of buying the components and doing that myself? Do B&Q do that type of thing, or Munster Joinery, or anyone else whose prices would be reasonable?

    Thanks.
