If you liked the vittorias, I recommend veloflex.

A buddy of mine is trying to persuade me to use Vittoria Open Corsa tyres on race day for the coming season. He used them in his last few races of 2013 and swears they made him faster. I'm currently doing the research and it is pretty confusing. There seems to be lots of models within the Open Corsa range: CX, SR, SC, SL, etc. All are 320TPI, around the same weight, and around the same price. It's worse than buying toothpaste!

Im on schwalbe zx road tubless... Why does everybody not use them.. Great grip.. Not a puncture in 3000 km and the rolling resistance is very low.. Expensive yes but I have not used a tube in months..

I will be buying more soon.

Vittoria open corsa CX with latex tubes for me... Nearly as smooth as the equivalent tubular.

I'm using them too and agree, except for the punctures. But that may be more to do with my using them over the winter for awhile tbh.

Once you puncture tubeless do you have to use a tube?

Not necessarily. There's a liquid inside that plugs the hole and which has always stopped the tyre getting too low, allows you get home at least. Once it dries the tyre can be pumped max again.

Some larger cuts do need a tube and then the tyre can be fixed in the same way a tube can be when you get home.

In my experience, MY experience, once you get a puncture, your race is over anyway.
