Mapping an Omex 710 on a rolling road

Title pretty well covers it, building an MEV Rocket with Ford Focus go-bits, and I got an Omex 710 pretty reasonably, looking for someone nearish to Dublin to map it all when it's finished.
Plan is to put bike (GSXR1000) Throttle Bodies on it, hence the need for aftermarket ECU.
I emailed Omex, and they suggested a fella in Armagh, but when I sent him details, he was pretty unsure on the engine, so I'm not filled with confidence, certainly not enough to drive 300km round trip.

So, anyone had a good experience with mappers (and not the chip-your-diesel-car kind) in the South?

    Try West coast performance,

They are the go to guys at the minute. They are very very professional and both cars we've had down there have performed so well, faultless in fact.
Try giving them a bell :)

Sorry you said nearish Dublin :o

Out of curiosity OP, what was the budget for the build? Always looking at a kit myself but I hear they have an awful knack of getting out of hand in the finances.

Ha! Yeah, budget went out the window about 2 months in. Starter kit, which is the chassis and floor panel really is about €2700. Strictly speaking, you COULD start with that, but you very quickly run into problems; I bought seat rails, but they didn't span the bar on the chassis. So, where to put them? Can't decide until you have the steering wheel and fuel tank in. Fuel tank sits on the floor, which can't go on (permanently) until chassis's been powercoated, which you can't do until the seat rail extension are welded on.. etc

I know exactly how I've spent so far, but it's embarrassing and if my wife reads this I'm done. PM if you really want to know.

Focus ST170 2.0L Blacktop Zetec-E (though it's labelled' Duratec ST for marketing purposes', 170 PS again only true in the marketing materials!) with some slightly upgraded internals. With the right induction and mapper should hit 180-190 at the flywheel, do it wrong and it could be as low as 135 (what a standard 2.0 blacktop puts out).

Thanks, but unless I've missed something, I think that's one of those 'chip-yer-diesel' places.. His 'Vehicle Database' for the MKI Focus is not confidence inspiring.

Sorry I thought you were putting a bike engine in.

You could always sell the engine and stick a busa engine in and start your tuning at 170 hp and be lighter

Yeah he's not up to it.

    Can't even map newer diesel's.

Fella's in the north can probably do it.Autotune your talking about? They do alot of petrol mapping and have alot of experience.

Westward are supposedly very good, but expensive.I would go with them.

Going to the UK would be the best option.

westward have always produced results for us and have been pretty reasonable on price for re maps after tweaking. uk not a great option for mapping as generally you will be changing things in the future and require mapping again
