magnetic window cleaner

    Does anyone know where i can buy a magnetic window cleaning device in Ireland.Have tried most of the hardware and diy shops in my area to no avail.
    Plenty of them for sale on amazon and ebay but think bad of paying for postage.

    Try some of the aquarium shops, they're also used for cleaning fish tanks.

    No they dont work on double glazeed windows.I have an 800 litre fish tank with 2 of the magnetic cleaners on the tank.They will work on glass up to 15mm thick,but they wont work on double glazed windows.I tried it myself and the magnetic field isnt strong enough to use it on a double glazed window.Also you have to be so carefull with magnetic cleaners and glass,the slightest bit of grit or sand that gets between the cleaner and the glass and its scratch city and a ruined tank and peice of glass.

    What the OP is refering to is completely different product to the JBL magnetic aquariam cleaners sold in aquariam shops.The aquariam cleaners will not work on double glazed windows.

    Its called a Window Wizard.Theres a few of them for sale on www.adverts.ie at the moment.

    Thanks jpb14,the one advertized on adverts was sold when i checked. Lots of them for sale on amazon and ebay but the cost of shipping makes them expensive. None of the hardware stores seem to stock them which i find strange, maybe they are hard to use and not successful.
