calf with twisted back legs

    Had a cow calf this morning.Calfed herself ch bull. Out of CSQ.His back right leg is badly twisted.He seems to throw the hoof outwards .Its as if he was lying on it inside her. Anyone came across this?.Will it rectify itself

    Seen several big Charolais calves like that. In a hoop. They all came right.

    not sure about this year, but i had three cases of calfs with unusual feet last year. All three were ok, but the last calf i had was alot more severe, hes front two legs are bending outwards. Still have him, but not sure what will come of him...on a straw bed, wouldnt last on slats.

    Vet reckoned it was schmallenburg, and the cows were bitten later in pregnancy, so the deformities werent severe.
