Does anyone know how to collate ( if that's the right word ) video clips of an event that I've taken. I've got 60 or so and want to get them down to two or three continuous sets. Does this have to be done in the camera, or can I do it from the card reader in my iMac ? Camera is a Canon HF M56. Thanks.

Sounds like you need to edit the clips into one or two files?

I don't think cameras have much in the way of editing video files together in camera, so you'll have to take them off and editing them together using your editing software.

Camera can't do it, you can use imovie on mac or movie maker on windows, both free programs! Then export

imovie on the mac is just perfect for what you want.

A quick search on youtube will guide you through how to do it.

Thanks for the Youtube tip. I'd already discovered iMovie, but it lacks any help; assumes you're already educated in its use.
