    Lads,
Is there anyway of checking whether bought-in calfs have been BVD tested using Agfood or is it a case of ringing the Department?

Calves born in 2013 or 2014 cannot be moved off a holding until they have passed a clear BVD test.

Therefore if buying a registered calf the calf must have passed a BVD test.

Thanks LivInt. Yes, I knew that but it wouldn't stop some fellas trying to sell them anyway;)
I bought off the mart - is there anyway of checking to be sure?
    Thanks.

If born in 2012, Check the tags. You should be able to identify a Bvd tag easy enough. If born in 2013 or 2014, you can't sell without having passed the test, full stop. The computer won't let it through.

Won't get through the mart without a clear BVD test.

Also the mart board should show if a calf was BVD tested.

It seems like something that should be added as a feature to AIM as the system holds most/all the other information about animals
