External TV tuner for PC monitor

    Hi I am looking for a external TV tuner for a wall mounted PC monitor, its going to be using standard coax cable, is there a cheap option.

    A genuine HDMI to VGA adaptor + set box costs as much as TV.
    Also if screen is 60FPS, it will look poor with movement. The Resolutions & frame rates may not be compatible. Very few PC monitors do 50fps.

    If you really MUST use a VGA PC screen a laptop or PC with a €15 USB DTT stick is best. Note that some DVI screens are not digital. A simple HDMI to DVI adaptor only works with Digital DVI screens and may fail if the HDMI has HDCP. Also again you may have a problem with frame rate or resolution or both.

    Better to get an HDTV. Start at about €140 and run off aerial coax. No PC monitor uses standard coax.
